Let’s travel at the speed of the light!

The speed of the light is about 0.3 million Kilometer per second or 3*108m/sec.

Science puts a universal speed limit for every object i.e. speed of light. That means nobody can’t travel with the speed of the light. Whenever a body travels with the speed of light its virtual mass becomes so high that a large amount of energy is required to move the body which is impossible.

But what would happen if we travel with the speed of light? To know the consequences, go through the topic.

Let’s forget the laws of science for a minute and imagine we can travel at the speed of light.

Due to large acceleration, a high amount of G-force will act on your body. The pilots of fighter jets(2400km/hr) and drivers of F-1 experience G-force. Even some pilots get unconscious in 5-6G. Then can you guess what would happen to your body at such a high speed? Your blood may not reach to your brain, your muscle may get contracted, your breathing may stop, even one can die at such a high speed.

Whenever you travel at such a high speed your mass becomes very high. Similarly, the molecules of air like nitrogen molecules, hydrogen molecules, etc. also approach you with very high mass. Your collision with such molecules will be like colliding with rock which won’t be pleasant.

Think you are traveling in a spaceship that is going at light speed. You are sitting in the back and your friend is sitting in the front. If you flash a torch to see your friend you may not able to see your friend. Light may not be able to escape the torch and fall on your friend.

It is just like if you want to catch your friend who is running in front of you, you must run faster than him. Likewise, for light to fall upon something light must have to travel faster than that object. As your spaceship is moving with the speed of the light, the light may not be able to fall upon your friend and reflect to your eyes.

If you are travelling at the speed of light and you told your friend to take your picture in the camera from the direction you are travelling, he may not be able to do that. Because the light reflected from you won’t be able to reach into the sensor of the camera as your friend with the camera is also traveling with the speed of light.

When celestial objects enter the earth’s atmosphere with high speed they burn due to friction with the atmospheric air molecule. Now you are travelling in a spaceship which is travelling with the speed of light. You can imagine what would happen. Your spaceship will be caught on fire and burst into pieces.

Is it possible to travel with the speed of the light in future? What do you think ?comment below.
